From two ingenious ideas, we have developed a holder that combines both ideas.
2. Idea = Clamping block for stabbing swords
a parting-off holder AST1660LW, specially developed and manufactured for machines that only have a very small distance between the top slide and the center of the lathe chuck. The shoulder makes it possible to lower the holder and a distance of 16.4 mm between the top slide and the center of the lathe chuck is then sufficient to work with a 19 mm parting-off blade or a 19 mm HSS blade. It doesn’t matter that you can no longer swivel the holder to the left/right, as you always cut at 90° to the axis of rotation (p.s.: The -LW version is specially designed for machines such as the Myford 7).
