Holder AT2075-H for overhead parting off
(required minimum distance from the surface of the top slide to the center of the lathe chuck 25mm)
This holder, specially developed for overhead parting off, enables the use of a parting-off tool in such a way that the cutting edge points downwards and thus the chips can also flow off downwards. If the base body is behind the rotary axis = normal clockwise rotation and if the base body is in front of the rotary axis = counterclockwise rotation of the lathe chuck.
Normal holders are NOT suitable for this application, because the holder in the basic body would have to be set much too high (or the basic body would have to be mounted higher), sometimes even higher than the adjusting screw allows and thus the hold between holder and basic body is no longer really guaranteed – the holder AT2090-H is therefore higher than normal holders (see pictures) and thereby gains additional contact surface.
